The 'Renaissance' began in Italy in the early
sixteenth century and spread throughout Europe. It was basically a cultural
movement. But it has a direct impact on people's personal, social and political
lives. As a result, feudalism or the zamindari system was abolished and democracy,
nationalism, and individualism were replaced by that. People get freedom in
their personal, economic, religious, social, and political fields. People
question the unknown, go out to know the infinite, and learn more than one. The
biggest change at this time is the concept of humanity. The idea of 'people
for people' spread among everyone. But how humane have we been so far? Have we
given a little concession on the question of race, religion, and caste?
In human civilization, those who are always in small
numbers (race, religion, or caste) are ruled, exploited, or persecuted. At
present, more than six and a half crore people in the world have been expelled
from their own areas due to discrimination in race, religion, or caste. They
are all living inhumane life, most have been refugees in other countries. They
are all being deprived of basic rights.
In World War II, Nazi forces killed six million Jews,
known in history as the ‘Holocaust’. It is a manifestation of Hitler's racism
and imperialist consciousness. Yet we still applaud Hitler. But no religion or
race supports killing people. Thousands of civilians are dying and losing their
homes in the wars in the Middle East. Half of the people who fled the country
from Syria have become refugees. Many people have become refugees from
Afghanistan and Iraq. The main reason for the nearly 23 million refugees from
the Middle East since the end of the last century to this day is the powerful
countries, who feed pills of democracy and socialism. The main reason for this
is their imperialist consciousness.
In 2016, the Rohingya Muslims acknowledged the ethnic
cleansing of the Myanmar army. They burned the Rohingyas' homes and evicted
them from their country. So far, there have been about 1 million Rohingya Muslim
refugees in Bangladesh. Recently, the Indian government has identified about
four million Bengalis in the state of Assam, who are called Bangladeshis. Maybe
they will be kept as refugees in their own country.
We are all human beings irrespective of race,
religion, and caste. We all have the same blood in our bodies. Everyone has
equal rights as a human being in a country. But for extreme nationalism and
communalism, minorities have to be homeless. As we speak of humanity, everyone
has the right to life, liberty, and security of person. But we ‘The Human” kill
people, burn houses and drive them out of the country. We are human and we want
to eradicate humans. Still, we are human beings!
